Siargao Island, the Surfing Capital of the Philippines, boasts of world-class surf waves that barrels up to nine feet high. It’s most popular break, known as “Cloud 9” is located in the town of General Luna where the annual international surfing competition is held in September.

Siargao Island likewise prides itself of other tourism attractions including its sugar-fine white sandbars and beaches, water caves and natural lagoons, dive sites, rock formations, vast mangrove forests, and other surfing breaks with smaller swells for the neophyte surfers.

Magpupungko Rock Formation, Pilar
